In their first three games, OSU pulled out victories in game one (7-5 in 15 innings) and game three (3-2 in 8 innings), but fell in the second game 10-1 in just 6 innings. In a series that was supposed to be 4 games over the weekend at Penn State, the series got cut one game short, as Monday's match-up was canceled. Before that cancelation, the Buckeyes swept the Nittany Lions, starting with Saturday's doubleheader, where the Buckeyes pulled out a 2-1 victory in the first game, then a dominant 9-3 victory in the night cap. OSU wrapped up the series sweep on Sunday afternoon with an even more dominant victory, needing just 5 innings for a 9-0 shutout.

Next up is a big series, as Ohio State hosts a 4-game series against rival Michigan beginning Friday and ending Sunday.

Although they picked up one victory, the rest of the weekend was a tough one for the Buckeyes, as they dropped 3 out of 4 against #23 Michigan in Columbus. It all started on Friday, when the Wolverines shutout the Buckeyes 7-0. The two teams split decisions on Saturday, with Michigan taking the first 3-1, then OSU taking the nightcap 3-2. The Buckeyes wanted to even the series in the series finale, but the Wolverines dominated with an 11-0 victory.

Ohio State now heads to Bloomington, where they will play Indiana in a 4-game series beginning on Friday.

The Buckeyes wrapped up their season over the weekend by putting together a solid series against Michigan State in Columbus. In Friday's series opener, OSU earned a dominant victory, winning 7-1. Saturday brought a doubleheader, where the two teams split, with the Spartans taking the first game 5-2, then came an intense pitcher's duel in the night cap, with OSU earning the 1-0 victory in 10 innings. Finally in the series finale on Sunday, the Buckeyes pulled out a 5-0 shutout victory.

That wraps up the season for Ohio State, as they did not earn a bid to the NCAA Tournament.
