Bobby Bowden passes away at 91

Bobby Bowden, the legendary head coach of FSU, passed away early this morning at home surrounded by his family. Last month, the family announced that Coach had pancreatic cancer and it was terminal. He was 91.

I had the chance to meet him on a few occasions. He was a great coach but an even greater person. Coach will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in Trussville Alabama next Sunday. Before that...he will lay in repose at the Capitol Rotunda in Tallahassee on Friday and again at the Moore Athletic Center inside Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday. These will be open to the public.

RIP Coach and condolences to his wife, Ann, and the whole family.


I could tell a story or two but instead...I'll just say that he was all about Faith, Family, and Football in that order.
