The Penguins win the Horizon conference opener 3-3-,1-0 Conf) over the Panthers on the road. (1-6,0-1). The winners were ice cold in this one hitting just 26% of their first-half shots while finishing at a 31.3 for the game. The Panther hit 48.1%.

Leading the winners with 18 points was Tevin Olison (Memphis, Tenn). Coming off of the bench to score 17 points all in the 2nd half was Owen Long (Sikeston, MO). He hit 5-8 from the field and 5-6 from the free-throw line. Michael Akuchie (Plantation, FL) chipped in with 10 boards and 9 points.

For the Panthers, DeAndre Gholston (Gary, Ind) led all scores with 24 points and 7 boards.
