This one has me scratching my head! Stroud gets all day to sit back there and look for receivers, Henderson breaks the one game rushing record held by Archie Griffin and has over 1200 yards. Of course the team rushing ranking won't be high in the pass happy offense they run.

I think the inconsistency in the running game blocking over the last two years and mixed recruiting results did him in. With the new DC, I would expect maybe two more coaching changes.

I wish them the best but sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the other side. If my top two running backs were averaging 7 ypc I would take that any day of the week. Teams are not going to always rush for 300 yards a game no matter how good the line is. I just wonder if there wasn't some other things going on between him and Day. I read where Day never was that fond of him. I also wonder how this will affect recruiting? The guy coming in from Wisconsin liked Studrawa but supposedly said it wouldn't change his mind. Time will tell I guess how this plus the other allegations coming out from former disgruntled players will affect recruiting.

I worked in administrative hospital functions for 30 years. My star would rise and fall with every change in bosses. I was promoted, demoted, and threatened with termination despite good consistent performance. The long story short is that the bosses whim was reason enough for a change.

You also touched on dissension. Something was amiss in the locker room this year. Perhaps a culture change is needed. Lou Holtz once said five years for a coach is max before the stink arises.

Wow, talk about Joe College. A seventh year of eligibility due to the pandemic. An All American long snapper for the Buckeyes. He must be good because few have heard of Bradley Robinson. His career started at Michigan State in 2016. The young man is also a serious student starting his PHD, but the inevitable John Belushi Animal House quote about seven years of college comes to mind.

WR Coach Brian Hartline promoted to Passing Game Cooridnator.

Hartline's wide receiver groups performance is the best in the nation and looks to be so in the future. The promotion is likely cosmetic so as to be able to pay Hartline more money to keep other teams from poaching him from the Buckeyes.

Super NIL Fund for Ohio State Athletes?

Apparently Brian Schottenstein is developing a super NIL fund under the guise of a charity so as to be able to pay OSU players and entice potential recruits with big dollars to come to Columbus.

This is in direct response to similar charity funds set up at Texas and Texas A&M. Cardale Jones is reported to be the funds administratior and liaison with OSU.

Sadly we are seeing the start of pay for play wars in college football. Pay or perish any hopes of being competitive. Throw in the one time free transfer rule, and star players will be making 7 figure incomes. While I believe players deserve NIL, I do not think the NCAA meant to create a wild west environment when they abdicated authority over NIL.

OSU Hires Perry Eliano To Coach Secondary

Ryan Day poaches him from Cincinnati.

Another message sent that Day is intent on improving the defense. At the moment OSU is one assistant coach over the allowed limit. Does that mean Kerry Coombs is out? Or is special teams coach Parker Fleming out as Eliano also has experience there?
