2022 Buckeyes

Post by Bleeding Red »

If (big IF) they can muster up a solid defense, they win the Natty.

Stroud will be one of the top QBs in the country. SNJ will be the best WR and they will be backed up with Harrison Jr and an entire stable of really good WRs. Not to mention Henderson and Williams in the backfield.

Ryan Day has already promoted Brian Hartline, fired the OL coach, hired a new OL coach as well as hiring a DC. Its good to see that Day is not sitting on idle hands and wants his staff to improve overall.

Look out for 2022.

Also- I dont think either Bama or Georgia could have shut down OSU's offense last night. Defensively OSU wasnt good enough to beat either team, but it would have been a high scoring track meet had OSU played either team for the Natty in Indy.

Go Bucks

@Bleeding Red

You may be on to something. The national media agrees with your assessment. OSU is a consensus #2 team in the way to early rankings for 2022.

This is the year if they want to get it done. Stroud will probably be gone if he has another year close to what he had this past year. The key as everybody knows is the defense. Can the new D coordinator get things turned around enough to have any chance? They also graduate second-team all-Big Ten kicker Noah Ruggles. His loss shouldn't matter much if the offense is as good as it's expected to be. We'll see. The schedule looks pretty tame with possible obstacles at MSU or at PSU. Notre Dame is unknown with the new coach coming in. Injuries could also be a factor and you never know from year to year who will get hurt. The table is set in their favor now they have to do it on the field!

Keys to fixing the defense is getting these 4 and 5 start DL and LBS playing like it. Been getting exposed there for the past 2 years.

ND will be ND. All pre season hype and won't deliver. MSU will be solid but no defense should stop the OSU offense next year.
