The Bluejays (10-5, 2-2 Big East) led by five at the half but it was all Xavier (13-3, 3-2 Conf) in the second half aided by a 17 to 4 run and some hot free throw shooting late. Colby Jones (Birmingham, AL) led the winners with 16 points and 9 boards. Zach Freemantle (Teaneck, NJ) had 13 points and 11 boards for the winners, who hit 43.1% of their shots. The Bluejays hit 50% of their shots but committed 21 turnovers compared to just 9 for X. Leading the way in the loss was, Alex O'Connell (Rosewell, GA) with 22 points and 5 boards.
