Gigantic upset in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference Tourney Championship game tonight with Franklin (14-14) on the season upsetting regular season champion Hanover (21-5). The game was played at Hanover where they had only lost one game all year long. Franklin took their first lead in the 2nd half with a shade over 6:00 left and from there they never looked back. Cody Samples (Versailles, Ind.) went off for 34 points, 5 boards, and 5 assists to lead the Grizzlies. Matt Krause (West Lafayette, Ind.) added 22 points and 10 big boards. For shell-shocked Hanover Isaac Hibbard (New Albany, Ind.) one of the quickest players I have watched all season at any level led the way with 27 points.
