North Central Cardinals 28 Mount Union Purple Raiders 21

The game never really felt close with the Cardinals (15-0) jumping out to a 21-0 lead before Mt. Union (14-1) closed to within seven, in a large part due to their defense coming away with big plays thwarting away what looked to be more scores from the winners. Braxton Plunk (Plant City, FL) shredded the Cardinals secondary with 234 yards and two scores on 26-36 passes in the loss. Ethan Greenfield (Lindenhurst, IL) made his 119 yards on 25 carries look very easy against a pretty stout Mt. Union defense. Luke Lehnen (Chatham, IL) only had four completions but three of them went for touchdowns. DeAngelo Hardy (Lake Villa, IL) caught three of those passes for two scores and 107 yards. Greenfield caught the other pass and it went for 34 yards and a score. Wayne Ruby (Pembroke Pines, FL) grabbed 9 balls for 109 yards and a score for Mt. Union and Edwin Reed (Fort Lauderdale, FL) had the other touchdown reception for other Purple Raiders.
