YSU has been practicing for their opener at Mich. St. , which will be televised on the Big 10 Network. Former Logan QB Pat Angle, now a Redshirt Frosh is the back-up QB and will make the trip to East Lansing. Expecting him to play some this year and should the starter go down, he'll play extensively. Angle now listed at 6'1, 220.

Colegrove, the Ironton teammate, is no longer on the team.

Just to clarify, Andy Colegrove, who has played for YSU for the last four years hurt his neck last year just prior to the Penn State game. It has been a problem since then and therapy didn't help it. Coach Wolford thought it best that he not play this year and we agreed, as did Andy. They are honoring his scholarship and allowing him to finish his nursing program. We have enjoyed many a game there and wish the Penguins the best of luck this season!! We will be pulling for you and hope to get up to see a game!! Thanks to all who've supported Andy in his ventures as a college football player! We are so proud of him and what he has accomplished!!

Trevon Pendleton #37- Michigan State- dressed last night-he has been redshirted this year-suffered a devastating injury to lower part of leg and ankle last year, ending his high school career!!! Keep an eye on this fine young man-sky is the limit for him!!!

Angle played the second half of the Valparaiso Univ. game , but none of the QBs were allowed to throw a pass . The 77-13 blow-out win saw all the players play.

Angle did not get to play in the Mich. St. game as YSU trailed only 14-6 going into the 4th qtr, before losing 28-6.
