Final
Kaden Coleman scores on a short run off tackle and Kanyon Bruton scores on a 30 yd run up the middle. The O-Line blocked great. Burg played great team Defense. Cole Darnell played Great at D=end and the linebackers stopped the run up the middle.

Wheelersburg 8th: 8
Ironton 8th: 20

The pirates couldn't stop the sweep. #25 for Ironton is the real deal, The 8th grade needs to come together! Its a team sport and everyone has an assignment. One player not completing there assignment will kill the play. In the end turnovers and penalties @ the end of the game cost the pirates! Come on boys your better than 2-2!

The Valley and Portsmouth 8th grade game was a very exciting game to watch! Some very good athletes on the field last night in Portsmouth. The linebacker for Valley (33, I think) made some excellent defensive plays. Had a motor that didn't seem to quit... This team looked much improved on defense compared to the last game I watched against Coal Grove.

Bo_diaz thanks for the comment on the linebacker for valley 8th .... I thought he played a great game as well ....our whole defense played well last night with the blocked punt, and great coverage downfield and the line stuffing the middle

does anyone know who the guy taking pictures at the portsmouth/valley junior high game last night was ?......if so please post ....i saw him on the south end by the valley sideline but dont know if he was a dad or from a studio and was taking pic to sell .....man that is a long haul to the restrooms for visitors..... gimpy or otherwise
