Raceland 7th Grade defeats Portsmouth 7th- BBALL

After leading the Trojans 21-7 in the first half, Raceland played 10 players in the second and almost let the Trojans come back to claim victory. The RAMS played hard the first half, but faultered in the second and the TROJANS found their grooooooooove...!!!!!!!.. The Trojans came back to within 1 point at one time but RACELAND held on to seal the victory. THIS was more exciting than the score shows. The TROJANS were "RED HOT" and pushed the RAMS to the limit in a couple of trips to the basket..... Portsmouths STANDOUT ATHLETE in the second made 28 points and almost sent the RAMS to pasture....P-Town played well for their first official game and I would hate to be the teams that will face them later in the season, Great Size, Great Speed, GREAT BALL HANDLING ability..... Like I said,, if it was not for the first half being RAM PRIDE TOUGH, this could have been very different. I applaud the P-Town Young Men in a great basketball game tonight....... Good luck to them in the rest of their season......

Can tell you this, Raceland 8th grade team are now 5-0 on the season, with 2 key starter players not been able to play last 2 games, Hopefully these 2 young men can return. 1 battling infection, 1 battling knee injury that could set him back about 4 weeks. 7th grade are very fast and can score. Looks good for the rams this year. But to answer your question Haven't seen any ohio teams on the schedule, would be nice though. due to less travel on a school night

thanks,,I belive the 8th grade Trojans are unbeaten riht now also,this probably would be as good a game as the 7th between the two teams.
