Ironton's 8 year old's in pitching machine two years ago...won every tournament they played in...only lost one game by one point..although they came back and won two against that team to win that tournament..now they should be back for a second run in 10 year old little league this season...

The best all-star basketball team at chesapeake was the Juniors in high school now. In 5 years the were 104-25. With two runner up trophies in Beckley, WV and 3 Huntington YMCA tourmament championships i think it was over 20 total championships in those 5 years. I believe "Cannonball" Coached them.

yes, in this Scioto County the two best in a long time..If they stay together, both teams should have some good battles in high school. West will be adding to the mix Tori Leader next year. Congrats to you guys, tough team. Like I said, from Minford that probably was one of the most dominant for sixth grade allstars, the two tournys both teams played in finished each with a championship and each with a second. Good news for the future of SOC basketball...

West and Minford met 3 times that year in tourney play, West's holiday classic, Lewis Co. and last
was the Ports. tourney. Minford Ladies only took the one. (You remember which?) lol

I forgot about the Holiday Classic, but that wasn't during All Stars. But you are right, then in JR. High they have traded SOC Championships, Minford 7th/West 8th..So like i said if they all stay togehter and continue working, we will get to see someone other than Oak Hill at the top..lol...Both teams are good All Star teams for their schools, both dominated other teams, between the two, it was close all the way, all 3 of those tournys came down to foul shots and who had the ball last..Great bunch of kids both ways..

Portsmouth 6th grade girls basketball from last year 08-09 team. Finished the season 27-5. South Webster, Minford, and Clay Tourney Champs. 2nd and 3rd place finishes at West Tourneys. Great size and strength. Could run or slow it down. Whatever was needed.

Valleys 2009-2010 sixth grade boys team. Minford is very good also. If those teams stick together they will be very good in high school.

The 6th grade team from Rock Hill had a very good run.I don't quite remember the record but it was pretty good. The down side is that they lost one of the teams best shooters to ST.Joe for the 7th grade season, and could possibly lose more. This team was alot of fun to coach!IN A 3-4 YEAR RUN THEY WON 15-20 TOURNAMENTS!

I would put our 4th grade Jackson boys team in the mix. Over a 2 year period in league and tournament play, they are a combined 57-4 overall and have won 8 out of 8 tournament championships! They will continue to play together next year as 5th graders and hopefully keep their tournament win streak alive.............

justaballer... You are right this is a very good group.... This group and our Portsmouth 4th grade boys have gotten together a few times this year..... I'm sure these boys will be very successful and continue to get better. It should make for some very interesting matchups w Portsmouth over the next 6-7 years.....
