Ironton 7th grade girls improved to 9-0 with a road win over Wheelersburg 1/19.
Karlie Rase had 6 pts, Lexie Barrier had 9 pts, Desiree Scott had 4, Charli Leach and Cheyenne Scott added 2 each. Final 23-16.

Ironton 8th improved to 8-2 on 1/10 with a win over Ironton St Joe. Think the final was 24-19. Lexi Washington had 10, Lexie Barrier (7th gr) added 6, Taylor Hannon and Macy Wise added 3 each, Brooklyn Shope had 2.

Ironton 8th improved to 9-2 with a HUGE comeback to beat Wheelersburg on 1/19.
After being down 21-12 at the start of the 4th quarter the Tigers found their rhythm. Lexie Barrier (7th gr) came in at the start of the 4th (only quarter she was eligible to play) and added at least 12 pts. including hitting 8 of 11 free throws.Taylor Hannon hit a big 3 to get them back in the game and chipped in a few FT's, Macy Wise had at least 2 including a shot that tied the game, Lexi Washington added at least 5. I am simply a spectator so I don't have the exact stats so if I left anyone out I apologize. I do know though that after being down 21-12 at the start of the 4th the Tigers came back and scored 26 points to the Pirates 9 for a final of 38-30 and that is an impressive comeback. Good job Tigers!! I must add that Wheelersburg has a good team and by far the most friendly fans I have seen on the road so far.

wink-The girls play at the new Middle School on Deleware St. near Hanging Rock.

Ironton 7th grade is now 11-0 after a win over Ceredo-Kenova on 1/25 and a win over Gallipolis on 1/27.

Ironton 8th 11-2 with wins over C-K and Gallipolis.
The 8th grade girls again came from behind in the 4th quarter to win against Gallia Academy 37-31. After losing to them by a considerable margin in the first match up, the Lady Tigers didn't give up and played to the very end. Good job ladies!!

Next up they play at Portsmouth on 2/2/11 and at Ironton St. Joe on 2/3/11 to finish up their regular season.

Ironton 7th grade finished their regular season undefeated tonight on the road at Portsmouth! Great job girls!!!

Ironton 8th grade 12-2 after a win in OT at Portsmouth. Down by 5 with seconds to go they once again stepped up and kept fighting. Very proud of both 7th and 8th grade who have had an impressive season despite several injuries. 8th grade will play their last game at Ironton St. Joe on 2/7.

The Rock Hill 7th grade ladies will be playing for a share of the OVC tonight against Coal Grove. They are 7-2 in conference and 10-5 overall, having won 5 in a row. They seem to be hitting their stride at the right time. It should be a great tournament in the 7th grade division.
