New Boston Soccer Club

The New Boston Soccer Club consisting of players in grades 5,6,7&8 are off to a good start this season. The young Tigers are 2-2-3 on the year, having defeated Piketon 11-1 and Wellston 4-0. They lost to a very good North Adams team 16-0 and Louisa, Ky. 3-1. Their ties were with Western 1-1, Piketon 2-2 and Peebles 2-2. Next up for the Tigers is Wednesday, September 29 at Ironton St.Joe.

The young Tiger boys and girls traveled up to Ironton to meet the St.Joe Flyers and fell to a good Flyers team 5-0. Next for New Boston is Monday 10/4 at Peebles.

The Tigers made the trip down to Peebles last evening. The two had tied 2-2 earlier in the year. This time the Peebles team came away with a 5-0 win. The Tigers, now 2-4-3, host the Wellston Golden Rockets on Wednesday, 10/6.

New Boston defeated Wellston tonight in NB 3-0. Tigers improve to 3-4-3 on the year and will host the Portsmouth Jr. High Trojans on Thursday 10/7.

The Portsmouth Jr. High Trojans defeated the New Boston Tiger team 10-2 this evening in New Boston. Tiger record is 3-5-3. Next up is a home date with the Western Indians on Monday, October 11th. New Boston and Western tied 2-2 in the first game of the season.

New Boston defeated the Western Pike Indians tonight at Millbrook Park 3-1. The Tigers move to 4-5-3 on the season. Next up the Tigers host the South Point Pointers on Wednesday, welcome the Ironton St.Joe Flyers on Saturday and close out the regular season with a home date with Louisa, Ky. on Monday.

The visiting South Point Pointers Jr. High team defeated the Tigers 6-0 this evening. The young Tigers who are now 4-6-3 on the year, now host the Ironton St.Joe Flyers on Saturday.

The game scheduled for today with Ironton St.Joe was cancelled due to the field being too wet. The game with Louisa, Ky. that was scheduled for Monday has been moved to Wednesday 10/20 in New Boston.

The New Boston Soccer Club ended their season last evening at Millbrook Park in New Boston at the hands of the Lawrence County Jr. High Bulldogs (Louisa) of Kentucky. The score was 6-1. The young Tigers finish at 4-7-3 which was an accomplishment playing 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th graders against mostly 7th and 8th grade teams. The four Tiger 8th graders were honored as well as the 8th graders from Lawrence Co.
