Both West 7th & 8th girls in championship. 7th over Webster by around 30, and 8th over Minford
by around 10. Keep playing hard and build that high school program.

In the high school gym last night West 7th beat Webster pretty soundly in game 1, game 2 saw Webster and Oak Hill tangle in 8th grade. Oak Hill won in overtime in a very good game. Tied at 40, Webster shot a ball at the buzzer that missed the mark. OT, Oak Hill took over scoring 2 or 3 baskets at the beginning and holding on at the end. They won by around 5. West will play Oak Hill in the Championship game for 8th grade girls.

SVC 7th finals @ SE tonight: SE vs. Piketon. They split the series this season, should be a good one.

The New Boston Glenwood Junior High Boys team won the 8th grade tournament at Green. Congrats young Tigers!

Peebles Junior High Boys and Girls both SHL Tournament Champions! Congrats to the Indians!

Last night Peebles (15-3) 8th Grade Boys upset undefeated #1 Seed Lynchburg-Clay (18-0) in the SHL tournament..this team had not been beaten in four years and had beat Peebles twice during the regular season. The first time by nine and the second by five. You would have thought you were at a high school game, the size and noise of the crowd was unreal on both sides. I guess the anticipation of a great rivalry game brought people out of the woodwork. The place exploded when we stole the ball with seconds left on the clock thwarting Lynchburg's chance for a winning bucket!!!! Peebles won 40-39. So proud of these boys. Going to be exciting to watch these two teams battle it out the next four years of highschool. Way to go Peebles Indians!
