Who Is Coaching Ironton Jr. Basketball

Post by curiousgeorge »

Does anyone know who will be Ironton's 7th and 8th grade basketball coaches? I have heard so many different names. Wonder what the big secret is?

I didn't realize Bowling was a basketball coach. I thought he coached football. I have actually heard every coach's name mentioned at least once!!! Shouldn't conditioning be starting soon?

He had never coached football before, but Bob Lutz turned him into a football coach.
He has a good teacher in Mark Lafon, so he should be ok in basketball too.

Bowling coached girls Jr High b-ball when my daughter played 4 years ago along with Coach Cronacher. He's a good all around coach and teacher who really cares about the kids.

Coach Bowling is a good man that knows his sports. He also has a pretty fair 7th grade athlete that carpools with him to and from school.

Tigerdad, they begin conditioning Monday Nov 10th. From this they will pick the team. They have been having open gym for a while but, beginning Monday it is mandatory to be there if you want to make the team. I don't know if this will go one week or two. I do know that they are not keeping everyone like they did last year. It will most likely be 12 or 13 picked from what I understood coach Smith to say.
