From what I'm seeing on here and little I've talked to some coaches and boys. Some of the best teams in no particular order. You can put them in order if you wish or add and discard.
Lucasville Valley
Minford
Eastern (Pike)
Symmes Valley
South Point
Portsmouth
Gallipolis

Thoughts?? You can rate.

Vinton County 8th grade is 4-0. Their closest game so far has been Wellston, which VC won 40-26

head to head competition

Portsmouth over South Point
South Point over Galia

in scrimmages
South Point and Symmes Valley both won some quarters so too close to call, depends on the bench strength in a real game

I haven't seen any of the other teams to give you a rating.

I know that Valley hasn't been challenged yet. They have a big matchup with Mr. Allison and the Portsmouth Trojans tonight. Should be the first test for the Indians.

i didnt see much the officials missed ....other than the over and back call...all in all a clean fast paced jr high game. not much to call when 3 people are going coast to coast or driving down the middle with no one to stop them . there was some handchecking here and there but they play that way all the time so no big deal. it will be interesting again when they come to Valley . I thought Valley should have really pulled away but they had a few sloppy possessions and portsmouth got within 4 and portsmouth had 39 pts not 36

I apologize 48-39, but really it doesnt matter if it was 48-47...5-0 is 5-0.

Allison had 23 for Portsmouth
Rolfe had 18 for Valley

As far as the officials...I had a couple different people from both schools who thought it could have been called a little better, but again..that doesnt matter.
