6 Wheelersburg Little League teams playing in State

The Wheelersburg community has six teams playing in the State Tournaments and beyond this week.

The Junior League Boys are in the final two. They play host Maumee tomorrow and would have to beat Maumee twice to take the title.

The 11 year old Boys open Saturday at Chesapeake vs. the winner from District 7.

The 9/10 year old Boys open this weekend at Cambridge vs. the District 10 winner.

The 11/12 year old Girls are in Missouri in the regionals starting 7/31.

The 10/11 year old Girls are in Conneaut on 8/1 vs. the winner of District 2.

The 9/10 year old Girls are in Conneaut also on 8/2 vs the winner of District 1.

Wheelersburg Junior League defeated Maumee in the first game today 6-3 to force the second game for the State Championship.

Maumee wins 14-10!

9/10 Boys defeated Defiance 12-11 yesterday.

11/12 Girls won in Missouri.

10/11 Boys lost to Clyde yesterday 5-1.

10/11 year old boys won today 13-1 eliminating Ashtabula at Ironton. Next game is tomorrow at 10:00 at Chesapeake vs. the loser of Washington Court House and Mt. Vernon.

9/10 year old girls......no information

10/11 year old girls dropped their first game of the tournament. They are playing today at 3:00.

11/12 year old girls won on Friday 5-0 over Kentucky, lost to Indiana 11-2 yesterday and are playing Missouri today at 4:00. The next game scheduled is Monday 8/3 vs. North/South Dakota at 6:00.

10/11 year old boys were eliminated today by Washington Court House 10-1. Cluxton picked up the win for WCH. Robinson had two home runs. Mingus for Wheelersburg had a solo shot over the fence for our only run. Congrats WCH and Good Luck!

9/10 Boys defeated Mt. Vernon 2-1. They play North Canton on Wednesday at 4:30.

9/10 girls defeated Tallmadge yesterday 5-4 to advance to the championship game on Thursday at 6:00! Congrats and Good Luck!

11/12 girls in Missouri

overall

defeated Kentucky 5-0, (South London..London)
lost to Indiana 2-11, (Riverfield...Anderson)
won over Missouri 16-12, (Perryville)
beat North/South Dakota 14-2, (Canyon Lake...Rapid City)
and got by Kansas 9-2. (Girard)

They play today at 10:00 AM v Indiana in the semifinals.

Riverfield (Anderson, Indiana) is 4-0 in pool play defeating, Minnesota 17-3, Wheelersburg 11-2, North/South Dakota 10-0 and Missouri 8-0.

The Wheelersburg Girls beat Indiana and will play @ 1:30 in the final game for the right to go to the World Series.

Michigan moves on to the Little League World Series.

The 9/10 boys lost to North Canton yesterday 14-2.

Wheelersburg plays Mt.Vernon today for the right to face North Canton in the finals.
North Canton won over Defiance 7-3.
