no, didnt know him. General Daniel "Chappie" James was commander-in-chief of NORAD during my assignment in Colorado Springs and he spent a lot of time in the command post in the mountain. One of his areas of expertise was flying the F-4 Phantom up the Red River Valley in North Vietnam......hard to figure how a man that big could fit in the cockpit of an F-4......

100% That was one awful 3 year tour. They tore it down in 2000 and built a new one. It was midevil............Built in like 1860. It was called the castle for a reason. If you have seen the movie the last castle with Robert Redford don't think it was like the movie, not even close!!!!!

My first orders were actually for Riley. I would have much rather been there. Kansas is like standing at the edge of the ocean, minus no ocean, no noise, no salty air. Kansas sucks, I would have rather went to Korea!!!! The most boring place I have ever been in my life no doubt. Imagine living in a town the size of Waverly, Ohio with 5 prisons there.
