Are message boards like this one dying out?
I have noticed the total number of post and people making the post seem to be down on all of the boards I post on?
Does anyone think they will die out?

ncf, I know what you mean, and yes they are dying out. Post on most message boards are way down. I think a lot of it has to do with facebook, which is a way people can group together, and socialize over the internet. There will be people who stay on and post, but overall the numbers are down across the board.

dont let there be any doubt in your mind that most of the posters you are talking about who dont post anymore read this board every day.....just look at the hits on the "Trailer Park" thread that I post on just about every day........lots of nosy people out there who like to hear the gossip floating around the park.........newarkcatholicfan wrote:I have noticed the total number of post and people making the post seem to be down on all of the boards I post on?

90,658 hits on the trailer park thread......kind of hard to make me believe 90,658 folks are interested in the weather in the park........

I THINK IT IS THE PEOPLE THAT HAVE MULTIPLE NAMES ARE THE ONES KEEPING THINGS STIRRED UP ON HERE. AND THAT HAS A DIRECT REFLECTION , ON POSTS BEING DOWN. I'VE HEARD IT FROM TOO MANY PEOPLE, AND THATS WHY THEY ARE PLAYING ELSEWHERE.
