Coaches Certifications

Post by OneBunter »

It is my understanding in reading the OHSAA ruling that all paid coaches and volunteers must be certified in CPR, Pupil Supervisory Certification, and also to have taken and passed the class titled Fundamentals of Coaching.

Is this ruling still in effect? i am also wondering if the OHSAA is monitoring this to be sure all schools are in compliance?

You do not have to take a fundamentals of coaching class but the others are correct and yes they monitor this very closely

Yes you do have to have the fundamentals of coaching cert. Its a online class. OHSAA keeps a close eye on this. Just ask Harvest Prep.
