Oil declined to 76.31 down 67 cents a barrel and wholesale gasoline was down to 2.2263 -0.0253 .....BP's shutdown of the Alaskan pipeline didin't seem to hurt when Saudia Arabia announced they would pump an additional 1.4 million barrels to help ease the pain of the 400,000 barrels California won't get from them. Thank you Exxon, by the looks of your quarterly report you could use a break.

Wal-Mart wants to sell ethanol. My oh my, what are you going to do now big oil?

"Our goal would be to make E-85 available across the U.S," Rich Ezell, senior strategy manager of fuel at Wal-Mart, said recently.

That would be about 946 Walmart gas stations.

On Topic:

Gas was $3.09 in Ironton this morning on North 2nd street.

Oil did raise yesterday to 76.31 up 4 cents a barrel but wholesale gasoline went to 2.1722 down -0.0541......Looks like oil is trying to head North while gas is going South. Retail gas is 2.99-3.15 in Ironton.

Talk about a loser. Yesterday oil dropped 2.35 a barrel and wholesale gas went below 2.00 for the first time in a long time. Wholesale gasoline closed at 1.9889 down -0.1833 a gallon. Now I wonder how long it will take retail to drop. Oil closed at 74.00 a barrel down 2.35 a barrel.

Well they must have dropped the price right after I left then. I stopped at the one right off 270 on 23 at about 8:00 and payed $2.85 per gallon.
