Who was the kicker from Logan who nailed a 40 plus yard field goal in the last seconds to defeat N-Y at Polley in 1979 ? I am sure Locos knows it

and what famous receiver from mentor lake catholic went on to star in college and the pros who we got to see when ironton/mentor lake catholic played for a state title.

he was a beast and the qb was awesome as well. they destroyed the fighting tigers that night for the state title.

you know ironton had a series with DuPont west Virginia when randy moss played at DuPont.in fact the fighting tigers beat them a year that they won the wv state title in the states biggest division,but what was randy's brother's name that played for DuPont as well. i'll give you a hint -- he was about as big as a sasquatch.

No one has answered one of the questions I asked correctly, so I will go ahead and give the answer........

The first game of the first season for the consolidated Nelsonville-York Buckeyes in 1967 was played against Warren. The Buckeyes won at Warren by a score of 22-6.

Larry Hunter. Basketball star at The Plains in 1966. Played at Ohio university. Next went to Wittenberg and won 80% of his games plus a national title. Then became the Ohio university coach in 1989 for 12 years. Now he's at Western Carolina. There's no college coach that's done more for this area.
