It may not be sunny, but at least it's Friday, so get out and make your own sunshine in your life. :12222

Honey Bees? I know there have been real concerns about decline in honey bee populations. It's called Colony Collapse Disorder, and they're not sure what's causing it. There was a segment on NBC Nightly News last spring [?] about this problem - featuring film of an orchard in the Chillicothe area. The bees are absolutely essential in pollinating fruit and vegetable trees/plants, so, despite the "sting danger", we really need those bees if we are to have flowers, fruits, and vegetables. I'm sorry you were driven back inside, but I'm glad to hear honey bees are back [if those are the ones you meant] - your garden will need them!

P.S. - I just now read your "Good Project" topic. You obviously already know all about this CCD honey bee problem per your quote below.

By watching and recording the bees at sunflowers in your garden, you can help us understand the challenges that bees are facing.

* It takes less than 30 minutes.
* It's easy.
* Free Sunflower seeds for planting.
* No knowledge of bees required!
