still think the first week of October would be best. July 18th, Little League tournaments are gearing up and the rest are heading for vacation. October would produce a monster crowd at something like this. Football chatter would be great.

July 18Th is a great day! no doubt one of the hottest days of the hottest month of the year with some of the highest humidity! starting at noon too will make sure all your guest get the most miserable temps of the day as well! Good thinking!

I was thinking You're Tiger Bait..remember that game, 'Freeze Out' everyone played as kids where everyone rolls down their window on a cold winter day and the first one to beg to have them back up again loses?

You could do something similar..like park one of the cars..(preferably and old junker you could have towed there for the day in case someone get's sick in it) anyway..where was I? oh...park one of those cars in the sun...then..people could get in the car four at a time..the last one to bail out wins! I'm sure you could cover a couple of EMT's just in case someone get's into some serious trouble..

you as everyone basically anywhere were invited. i put a poll question up. and the people voted july. it can be changed , it's not set in concrete. but look at it this way. i'm offering the use of my home to many people i've never even met. i had 140.00 in 2 johnnie on the spots. bought well over 125.00 worth of food and pop. as well as supplied the trophies for 4 people, actually bob linn's donated them. but i had no idea, till we picked them up. but jeff and mary are 2 of my dearest friends, and i graduated with jeff. and i'm buying the winners , and runner's up tee-shirts. i did this of my own free will. but it was at my home, and we were the hosts. as far as being an annual thing, why not. not a single drop of alcohol was here. just good clean wholesome fun. plenty of shade trees. as well as 2 very large decks. i've not heard anybody complain of excessive heat. we had a great breeze. high 80's temps. i thought about september or october. but with high school football going on as well as college football. i figured that might hurt the attendance. and then you don't know how cold it will be. we certainly had plenty to talk about. as far as being able to afford emt's at a get together , are you loco. i'm on social security man. if you want to come , you are more than welcome. -----STILL. but we that were there. had a great time. who wants to cookout with jackets. it's supposed to be a pretty sunny day, which the lord provided. but frankly i don't understand this outburst. not at all, if you look back through this thread i made the comment , that i did not care if anybody brang alcohol. to make sure they had a non-drinking ride home. why are we splitting hairs like this.

I'M THINKING THAT SOUNDS GOOD TO ME. AND NOBODY HAS MENTIONED ANYTHING ABOUT SEPT, OR OCT. TO ME SINCE THIS. AT THIS POINT YOU WOULD HAVE NOT ONLY HIGH SCHOOL, BUT COLLEGE, AND PRO FOOTBALL GOING ON.
