I appreciate that, but we aren't any different than a lot of people trying to find a cure and make it a little easier on those that have cancer. I used to always wonder just where the money went and what kind of a difference it made. Now I know first hand. Because of the research( that part of this money goes to) , I had Roger around an extra two years. They developed a new chemo(Eurbotux) for colon cancer that was really working for him. His tumors shrank a lot and would have continued to if he hadn't had an allergic reaction to it. Only two percent of people can't tolerate Eurbotux, and unfortunately he was one of them. But he lived almost three years longer than the doctors said he would. Some of the money helped develop medicines to keep chemo patients from becoming nauseated after treatments. Some of it goes to literature to help people dealing with cancer or taking care of someone with cancer. Some of it goes for wigs and prosthetics for patients. The list just goes on and on. I just feel honored that our family gets to help in a small way in this battle for a cancer cure.
