But we are not a true and pure capitalist society, we are a hybrid.

Marx theory does not apply to us, we are too socialized.
Besides did he ever clearly state what would be the death of Capitalism?
He seems to broad stroke the reasoning. I admit I'm not a fan of his.

If we are "Destroyed" the capitalist will claim its the socialist amongst us fault
And the socialist will blame the capitalist.
And sadly it will not make a difference.

This link is off topic but you may enjoy the read, I promise it is Ayn Randless

There are jobs.........

They may not be what you want to do but there are jobs. I lived in Central KY for 2 years. There are a lot of really good jobs but no one wants to work.

I will work 3 jobs to support me and mine if I need to.

Good point orange and brown.

But not all are willing to do the same, this is why socialism and communism always fail.
If one refuses to work for ones self why on earth would they ever work for another?
They won't unless by the use of brute force.

I agree xt......We are a mixed economy, but the theory could still apply.....The easiest way to make more profit is to reduce labor costs......We have done that, and now we are ridding ourselves of the one way to keep wages at a resonable level , and that is through the union wage.......Union wages keep non-union wages from falling through the floor, because of competition.......Without unions, wages will fall.....And we are seeing this now........Unions are being systematically being dismantled and we see wages for everyone dropping, while corp profits and stock prices are rising......CEO salaries that used to be 50 times greater thatn the average worker in the 60's, to CEO to worker(average for both) ratio of 475 to 1........This all leads to a consumer not having any money to consume, putting the burden more on the government to provide for its people, as the average Joe does not have enough to live..........This is what Marx said would happen.......Capitalism would implode on itself........Now, I believe that this may not happen here, as you have stated some of the reasons for it......However, the global implosion of Capitalism could still happen and we could be drawn in simply by default..........I truly believe for us all to prosper once again, limits must be put on Political contributions and interferrence in campaigns........And there must limits put on Exxecutive pay.......Unions should be encouraged not be held in contempt.........But limits should be palced on them also..........Money and its influence is the key..............I have not read your article link yet, but I promise I will later this morning.......Peace, :12224
