Do you feel safe crossing the Ironton/ Russell bridge?

Post by ItownBrowns »

Nearly every time I cross that bridge I have thoughts of a wreck or collapse. Got to wondering the other day, do other people have these thoughts.

I always think that Turk is on the other side and how he would like to kill me.

I looked for his house today but couldn't recall which one it was..I'm thinking about doing a pre-emptive TP strike!

I worry every time I cross it, which fortunately now is not very often.

What do you mean you were looking for his house? We saw you look over at it as you went by. I would be worried about getting that truck hit if you don't learn how to use those turning signals they put on them. ;-)

Funny you mention the Mothman. On the way home from the game Friday night I asked the hubby if going across a bridge should I roll the windows down or leave them up incase I was hit by a car/truck and knocked off. He says would not matter since I would probably be dead by the impact of the car hitting the water. I said well in the movie Mothman people went off the bridge and lived. So what should you do? Leave the windows up or down when going off the bridge?

...the point is to equalize the water pressure inside and outside the vehicle. If your sinking car stays full of air, there's no way you'll be able to open the door.

Thanks Tobias. Do you think Larry Legend was trying to make sure I didn't come back up?

No, I don't feel safe and probably for good reason. Have you noticed how banged up the fence is on the ramps on the Ohio side? I had to cross it twice today and I think I must hold my breath as I cross it because I sure exhale when I get to the other side.

Rhiannon, funny you ask this question....I was watching Fox News yesterday and they were discussing this very subject....Due, to the fact that most cars anymore have power windows....It is a very good idea to have something handy in order to break the windows....It is also very important to have you windows cracked open while crossing a bridge....This lets the water in slowly and easy to bust the windows with the instrument you have in your car....
