Very sad to hear of this. Tom was a great guy and I really enjoyed our Saturday morning football conversations on the soccer field at Riverside Park a few years back as our kids were on the same youth team. He will definitely be missed. Prayers go out to his family and the students and staff at Portsmouth.

Tom was a pretty close friend of mine. He has a daughter with down syndrom, and two weeks prior too Christmas he did a 7 mile run during a fund raiser for MRDD. I was stunned to get a call from my wife while in New Orleans for the BCS Championship game that he had been diagnosed with Pancreatic cancer. The end was surprisingly swift, and perhaps a blessing that it was. I am left with a void in my life ,and my persuits have been rendered shallow. Tom was extremely loyal to The Portsmouth system, and always tried to do what was in the best interest of the school. May God Bless his Soul, and comfort his family. We had some great times together.

Signed, Fellow Classmate of 1978
Jess Chabot
