I thought this website was pretty cool....
A lot of these books were books that high schools use a lot...

Re: Forbidden Library: Banned and Challenged Books
Thats a pretty good website.
Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl. Anne Frank. Modern Library. Challenged in Wise County, Va. (1982) due to \"sexually offensive\" passages. Four members of the Alabama State Textbook Committee (1983) called for the rejection of this book because it is a \"real downer.\"
This is the entry that stands out to me.

I read Fahrenheit 451 my freshman year of high school. Granted that's been about 10 years ago, I can't think of any reason to ban it. Yes, it's about burning books, but it's not really advocating that. In fact, it's more about those people that are trying to prevent them from being burned.

good grief James and the Giant Peach??
We read this when I was in like 5th grade and I never once thought that it was bad I may have to read it again!
My boys brought home a book from the school library that tells how to shoot and skin a rabbit and what is the best knife to use.. now in the days of zero tolerance for weapons I cannot believe that is allowed in the school![suprised1 :122246](./images/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif)
