I think they should stay there as long as they think the athletes are safe, If it gets so bad that there saftey is jeperdized then they should get out.

Russia and China would love that--the first one was dump so why the it again? It only hurts the men and women that will be taking part. They work at it for four years then someone yanks the hand brake.

I think diminished attendance at, or even US coverage of, the "Opening Ceremony", which is the "show-piece" for the host country, rather than the athletes, would make a statement without penalizing individual athletes or adversely affecting competition.

They have been trying to Free Tibet for decades. I doubt a US boycott of the Olympics will affect China's attitude. Like someone said above all it hurts really is the athletes who have sacrificed so much for the past four years.
