makes my gut hurt for the young men (and women) that were his friends. Those young men on the football team that shared so much with him have to be wiped out. So sad MD

This just breaks my heart. Such a sad, sad day for Wes's family, Portsmouth Highschool, and their football team. Prayers to his family, and our community.

big turn out last night at Spartan..thats is as silent as I have EVER heard that place, I dont think there was a dry eye in the place...I seen kids there from every school in the county..its great to see this..even though they may be rival schools, these kids are kids of this community all of them, its good to see the support from all of them.

everyone was gave a white candle as they entered the stadium, after prayer from rev. Gowdy, and a speach by Coach Clifford..they announced,,,any one that would like to come down on the field and form a circle we will light the candles and play some selected music, is welcome to come down, after getting on the field and lighting my candle,I look up in the stands....not one person stayed in them.

I stood at the 45 yard line "Wes Workmans number" and let the wax from my candle drip untill it was gone.

I now have mixed feelings about moving out of the old place

On Channel 25 here in Portsmouth the PHS school channel is showing a video it seems all day at different parts of the day and also at scheduled times a slide show of pictures of Wes, for those who would like to see it.
