As of this past tuesday I heard there may not be a comp. Ironton hasn't had enough bands commit yet.

They are definitely having the competition...it is still on. I heard there are around 12 bands participating if I remember correctly.

My daughter is on the Ironton guard and according to her the competition is a go. There are 10 bands scheduled and a possibility 3 more attending. The first band is scheduled to play at 5pm. :122245

As per the Ironton tribune here's a list of the bands scheduled to perform on Saturday,Dawson-Bryant, South Point, Green, Sciotoville East, Racine Southern, Northwest, Norwood, Greenup County (Ky.), and Hurricane (W.Va.)

Ironton's Million Dollar Marching Band will take the field at 9pm for exhibition. Starting time is 5pm.

Here's the link to the full story in the tribune.

Ironton's band was wonderful. They had the crowd going from the first note. The flags and majorettes were amazing and looked as good as they performed receiving a one from both judges.

For those of you who go to the football games and leave during halftime to get something to eat you are missing something really special. Stick around and watch your Million Dollar Marching Band, they are great! :122245 :122245 :122245 :122245 :122245

Congratulations to South Point, Grand Champions of the Buckeye Classic.

You woulld think that the Tribune would have posted the results by now. Did no one from the IHS turn them in? does anyone know who dropped the ball?
