A WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH WEDNESDAY MORNING.

A LOW PRESSURE SYSTEM WILL APPROACH THE AREA MONDAY NIGHT AND MOVE THROUGH TUESDAY AND TUESDAY NIGHT. ACCUMULATING SNOWS ARE LIKELY BY DAWN TUESDAY FOR NORTHEASTERN KENTUCKY... SOUTHEASTERN OHIO... AND INTO THE SOUTHERN WEST VIRGINIA LOWLANDS. SEVERAL INCHES OF SNOW ARE POSSIBLE THROUGHOUT THE WATCH AREA BY MID- MORNING TUESDAY... IMPACTING THE MORNING COMMUTE.

DURING THE DAY TUESDAY... WARMER AIR PUSHING NORTHWARD WILL INTRODUCE SLEET OR FREEZING RAIN TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND EVENING... RESULTING IN SOME ACCUMULATION OF ICE AS WELL. PORTIONS OF SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL WEST VIRGINIA COULD EVEN SEE PLAIN RAIN FOR A TIME TUESDAY EVENING.

THE PRECIPITATION IS LIKELY TO CHANGE BACK TO SNOW BEFORE ENDING SOMETIME WEDNESDAY MORNING... WITH AN ADDITIONAL LIGHT ACCUMULATION POSSIBLE.

One inch here and the roads are treacherous. My wife went to McDonalds an hour ago to get me a happy meal and has not returned yet. And I am starting to get frantic.

Those thin burgers probably will spoil in the cold air.

I been out for a couple weeks now. Pray for my old friends still in Lucasville. Most of 'em will get several inches whether it snows or not.

I got home from Huntington around 7:30 this evening and the roads are terrible. I could not see on the highway. Then when I got into Ironton, I slid on 6th street several times. Ironton should at least get a delay if not a day off. But I will not hold my breath.

South Popint, Fairland, Chesapeake and Symmes Valley are off tomorrow(Mon.) Coa Grove and Rock Hill are on two hour delays. I bet that changes by morning.
