I have had several people contact me on when tryouts are. The middle school, 7-8, cheer tryouts will be on May 15th. We will start practices on May 11th. I have had some parents ask from other districts as well. If your child or if you know of a child wanting to tryout for cheerleading from another district, they must enroll for next year. Please send me a pm if anyone has any questions.

Try-outs were held last week. Not 100% sure but heard all the girls that tried out made varsity and there is no jv for the 2009-2010 season. Itownpaw1 is this correct?

yes that is correct. All the varsity girls from last year plus Melanie Kiser, Alicia Murphy, Kylie Thomas and Hannah Cronacher made the squad. Congratulations to all.

What is happening to our sports? Yes, I do believe cheerleading is a sport. The numbers were low at baseball too. I wonder why more kids don't come out for organized sports?

I am not for sure. But I had 20 try out for Jr. High cheer. I thought that was a good number.

That is a good number. You always do a good job with your squad. I just wish more kids would come out for all sports.
