What kind of pets do we all have?

Post by nybucknut »

I'll just say I'm not going to list everything, cause it would take me all day.
2 dogs, a rescue chihuahua and a beagle that my sons friend gave him.
2 geckos
2 bearded dragons
2 columbian black and white tegus
2 savannah monitors
1 green iguana
ball pythons
columbian red tailed boas
red eared slider turtles
gold fish
koi

and for other nelsonville-york posters, no i do not live in Nelsonville, so yes I am able to have the snakes. All of our reptiles came from a breeder that decided he wanted out, and was going to get rid of their animals. I steped in to hopefully give them a good home and well because myself and my children have a love for the coldblooded things. (Hubby isn't quite so fond of them)

You don't have pets, you have a Reptile House at the Zoo. :-D

We have one completely spoiled rotten ankle duster dog and she thinks she's the queen of the house.

I don't have that problem because I figure she will eat what I put in front of her or she won't eat. I'm not saying I would let her starve to death, but she would eventually get hungry and eat. We buy the Ole Roy Kibbles&Bits and she will eat all of the soft pieces out and then beg for more but I make her finish most of the bowl before I give her any more.

I tolerate my grandson's brindle Boxer who lives at my house, but outside - not inside.
He has an insulated dog house with a quilted blanket-over-straw-base bed, a 25-lb feeder full of dry food, and a 5-gal bucket of water on my covered, screened back porch. I have to check his water bucket for freezing, and refill/defrost it at least once or twice a day in the winter - it lasts him a little longer without needing refilling in above-freezing temperatures.
There was a stray Beagle, since disappeared, who adopted my porch and back yard last summer. When I asked on here about a potential home for him, "eating him" was highly touted by a couple of posters as a solution. So I'd be a little careful about posting pictures of your dogs on here - there are some who might consider them menu items and call that a funny joke.

Dad's house- 3 horses (Duke, Princess, Dusty)
2 cats (Kaz and Shiley)
2 dogs (Shadow and Biscuit who's 18 years old and still going strong)

Mom's house- 3 dogs (Bo, Chancey, Maggie)

At mom's house, maggie and Bo will be laying on the couch and Chancey in the chair. Isn't a dog's life hard?
