My 6th grandchild was born at 9:30 AM [10:30 our time] this morning in Naperville, IL.
DYLAN JEFFREY weighed in at 8 lbs 4 oz, 20" long, with a full head of hair.
He joins big brothers Austin, 7, and Zach, nearly 4.
Their father [my son, Mike], IHS Class of '84, is practicing "do-it-yourself grandparenthood!!!
I have only 2 children and they're only 19 months apart in age and graduated back-to-back in '84 and '85; but they have managed, between them, to spread 6 grandchildren for me over 24 years!!! I celebrated the oldest's 24th birthday with her just a couple of weeks ago.
The bad part is that I so rarely get to see and spend time with these Chicago kids, and it will be a while before I'm able to get out there to meet this newest addition little guy, Dylan Jeffrey.
