Whether you always agreed with him or not, no one could deny Bob's love and concern for Ironton and especially the youth of Ironton High School. We've lost a good man, that's probably the best way to put it
From Today's Tribune online: BOBBY JOE VAUGHN Bobby Joe Vaughn, 54, of Ironton, died Monday, Sept. 12, 2010, at King’s Daughters Medical Center. Arrangements are pending at Phillips Funeral Home.

Remembering Bob Vaughn - His great friend Jim Ridgeway has written this for us. Ironton has truly lost one of it's best friends with the passing of Bob

Bob's favorite song.... not surprising for a 1975 IHS graduate as it was a big hit for the artist.

I TRYED TO POST ON IRONTON FOOTBALL DOT COM LAST NIGHT , BUT COULD NOT GET IT TO GO THROUGH.
but it said. what can i say about bob, everytime he saw me coming he had a big grin on his face. i knew it was time to talk about the ole neighborhood, ironton, or mostly fighting tiger football. i don't think i ever saw bob mad , or without a grin on his face. it was impossible to talk to bob, and not leave in a better mood than you were originally in. and i just think the world of his wonderful wife as well. bob has the best seat in the house now, on football friday nights. and will never hurt again. i remember laughing with him, when he was in the hospital one time, about not being able to wait to see what our new perfect bodies would look like. :aaaaa46

i think the lights at ironton's tank memorial stadium just got a little brighter.
