It is stunning the level of stupidity in the Rs party with their polices and candidates for office. So extreme, they are even chasing out members of their own party or being attcked by them for the extremist views espoused. Old timers have always recognized the nutjobs of the Far Right. But todays version of the R party isn't just Far Right, it is filled with misfits and malcontents. Now hurting NE citizens because of storm damage they don't want to help out with, attacking sensible gun laws, threatening the U.S. with financial default over the debt ceiling on bills already authorized and spent $$$$$$$$$$$$$ on and the continuing attacks on women , minorities, SS, medicare & medicaid and the safety net in general. Years ago , these extreme idiots were backbenchers who no one took serious as most are considered kooks. Now they want to rule the country ? Sit back with the popcorn and listen to the agenda they want to impose on all. Going to get interesting as it leads to another upcoming election. R Misfits and Malcontents wanting to rule.

And the people said, Amen............My conservative friends and I talk all the time, and Palidin has hit the nail on the head......They are embarrassed by their party...........The Party of Reagan and Eisenhower are gone, and they agree......It is a shame, as Conservative ideals are needed to play off of Liberal ideals.......The answer to most problems in our society, is and has always been , somewehere in the middle.........I am so afraid those days are long gone.............With the shrill voices of Limbaugh , Hannity and Alex Jones representing the factions of the GOP out there, the rational conservative voice has been muted to a mere whisper..........It is truly a shame........... :12224

There will be some growing pains in the GOP in the very near future, that is for sure.

I'll grab my popcorn and watch it all play out!

The sad part is, we all know what will happen. The moderate GOP will win out in the end. Even if its simply waiting 20 years for some of these old wackos to die off. Granted, there are young wackos in the GOP as well, but not nearly as many, so they won't have as much say in the party since there won't be nearly as many of them in the future.

I don't understand why the whackos now want to cause so much damage to the future of the GOP, knowing they are not going to get what they want anyways? It's mindboggling!

I have, shall we say, a certain leaning in my political beliefs. But I like to argue my points with some humor and little hyperbole. If we can't laugh, we are truly bereft of a gift given to us all to cope. And if we can't laugh at ourselves, we have no right to find the humorous side of others. Humility is a gift that is bestowed to those who do not take themselves too seriously and I have been humbled too many times in too many facets of life to believe mine is the only right view.

One of the "highlites" of the Rs retreat at Williamsburg was an "internal" poll conducted by their own people.. Shows that the public DISAPPROVES of the R party by 64%.
