Good luck to all the bands in the area competing on the first day of the OMEA State Finals. Tomorrow, the following bands from the area will be performing at Hilliard Bradley High School:

11 AM - Class B - Rock Hill
2 PM - Class C - Dawson-Bryant
6 PM - Class B - Chesapeake
6:15 PM - Class B - South Point

Also good luck to the bands competing on other days.

On Sunday November 3, the following bands from the area will performing at the University of Dayton:

1:15 PM - Class B - Northwest
1:30 PM - Class B - Wellston

And on Sunday November 10, these bands:

1:30 PM - Class B - Gallia Academy
5 PM - Class B - Minford
5:15 PM - Class B - Portsmouth West

Congratulations to all the bands for qualifying, you are the hardest working people in a school district, and I believe all of the bands listed above earned this.

Congrats Minford Falcons, that's two in a row for state. You work really hard and it shows with your performances.

I'll go ahead and congratulate Rock Hill on qualifying for the FOURTH time THIS YEAR for state finals this past weekend. They have qualified at all of their competitions so far this year. At Coal Grove, at Rock Hill, at Miami-Trace, and at Valley.
