It's been a long trip from collecting pop bottles as a kid, paper route, tomato fields, Marine Corps, AEP, County mapping & real estate appraisal, Retail management and eventually retired from the Federal government (DOD) doing finance & accounting work with 31 years in at 60 years old . Started drawing SS @ 62 last year because we're not guaranteed to be alive @ 65 and I wanted to make sure I got back some of what I put in and earned so with pension, social security and thrift savings plan (basically fed. 401k) it should be enough to live out my remaining years comfortably.
