Drive In Theaters

I have read that in a few locations across the nation, drive-in movie theaters have experienced a renaissance in the age of ChinaFlu social distancing. This begs the question are there any operating (pending Dr. Amy approval) drive in theaters in the SEOP footprint? I remember Waverly having the Atomic Theater, Chillicothe's Torch and Moonlight, and the Scioto Breeze at Lucasville. All of these long gone. One thing I could never figure out though was why the cars parked on the last row at drive-ins always seemed to have their windows fogged up.

I fogged up a few windows at the Drive-In in Coalton back in the day....

There still is one in Alabama....somewhere north of Dothan. Alabama Mike would know for sure.

Skyview Drive-In in Lancaster.

They've scheduled to reopen on May 22.

As mentioned above the Skyview just east of downtown Lancaster on Rt. 22 (Main street) is still operating along with the South drive-in on Rt. 23 (South high street) in Columbus just north of Scioto Downs Casino.

At one time there was one in Jackson, I don't think that it lasted near as long as the one in Coalton though. I may be wrong on this, but it may have been called The Grove ? I don't know the name, but I think that there was one in Wheelersburg also.

I remember going to the one in Jackson. I was little and I think it was around 2000. The only ones I know of now are South Drive-In in Columbus, the one in Lancaster, and one in Paris, Kentucky but I’m not sure if it’s open. Just passed it going to UK games

I don't remember the name, plus I don't think that it still open, but I'm pretty sure that there was one on Route 7 in Gallipolis.
