After a period of critical drubbings and vituperative coverage of his jet-set romance with Swedish actress Britt Eklund, Rod Stewart came back strong in 1976 with A Night on the Town, which yielded three popular singles, including Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright).

Tonight's the Night (Gonna Be Alright) was band in Britian because it concerned the seduction of a virgin.

Rod Stewart sang with the group called Faces for 6 years.The group broke up in 1976.

The movie "Mahogany" didn't do as well as Diana Ross's song (Do You Know Where You're Going to) the them from "Mahogany."

Dorothy Moore's Misty Blue kept Southern soul alive on the charts, while Sweet Thing provided the second pop funk million-seller for Rufus, fronted by Chaka Khan.
