anyone fish the river?

anybody fish Robert C. Byrd darn on the Ohio River? if so anything happening yet?

I've only fished the Greenup Dam. After the rain, I can't imagine the river being any good right now. The water below the dam there is about 20' above what we like to find it at. Shame too.

I remember in '95 we had perfect conditions on March, early March. My son and I slayed the hybrids and white bass down there that spring fishing with a ball head jig tipped with a live shinner. When the water temps got over 50 it was back to a grub though..they wouldn't touch the live shinner, strange, huh?

I fish the Gallipolis darn a few times a year with mercerville monster, not sure where he has been here lately though

man, i grew up like 2 blocks from the river, we were constantly fishing it. i've fished at the greenup dam several times , but not nearly like i'd like to have over the years.
