guess not, but many years ago. i guess a bear had something treed out here. it tore bark off of an old oak tree, like you would not believe. we heard a big commotion that night. but never knew what happened till the next day. the game warden came out, saw the claw marks. and took hair samples. and later called us back confirming that is was in fact a bear. it was a black bear. but from the height of the claw marks, and the width of the paws, he guessed it to be around 300 pounds, thats a pretty good sized black bear for these parts.

Thats a good sized Black bear for anywhere! They love "barking" old rotten trees for the bugs.

Someone is supposed to have stolen a pet bear around Centerville(Thurman)Oh.
Centerville just outside of Rio Grande.

Might be one on the loose now.
