Tomorrow is the big day :!: I patterned my gun today, my 4-wheeler is loaded on the trailer, and all my gear is ready :!: All that's left to do today is go roost some birds before dark. Good luck to everyone and be safe out there.

That has started some good arguments with the guys I hunt with. Some say every shell throws a complete different pattern, and some say its the gun. What do you say?

I pattern every box of shells I buy because every lot number is different. The gun and choke combination also make a difference. ;-)

Boo is all tanked over Turkey Season..he's heading out at dusk tonight with his 22, a carbide lantern and his portable spot light. He hopes to limit out by midnight!

Well, yeah, there is a limit. Those things are heavy and unless you make several trips, you're limited to what you can carry..then again, you could just shoot you a bunch and pick out the best looking one's to eat once you get 'em down out of the trees where you can get a good look at 'em.

I covered a lot of ground today and only heard one other shot and he was at the checking station when I got there. The game warden was checking in and weighing birds and he said it was a busy morning. He also mentioned a good youth hunt over the weekend.

The beard is close but she wouldn't let me wear spurs.

Well, I'm off for day two after ole Mr. Tom. Hope I at least hear one this morning.

Congrats BassMaster on the nice bird.
