You all like it? I've been checking out this model http://www.para-usa.com/new/product_pis ... .php?id=34 and a couple others. I'd like to see how thick it is. Ever notice, they'll provide you with length, width etc but never seem to include thickness?

Then again, I've changed my mind on what I want a dozen times in the last month. I've almost bought..to the point of pulling out my wallet but then...decide to make sure that I'm getting what I want

Slim Hawg
This Hawg went on a diet to give you the flatness of a single-stack frame.

I guess you have looked at this "Slim Hawg". It indicates it is "slimmer" with a single stack mag and is in a .45 ACP, which the experts say has much more stopping power than the 9mm. Personal chioce though.

You can't go wrong with the kimber for sure. I concealed carry a glock 21....yeah it's big and has a fat grip but 14 rounds of .45 are hard to argue with.

Agreed. My personal conceal carry is a Springfield .45 G.I. Issue. Dont care for the 9MMs. If I were to go to the smaller round, due to concealability, I honestly would consider a .32 over the 9mm.

Oh yeah. I sure have. I loved the way the Pro-carry felt in my hand. I like the ultra as well. Boone and I have discussed this at lenght. I'd kinda like to have the 45 but don't know that I could use it often because of damage to my cervical spinal region (heck, I'm on crutches right now over my back as it is)

Kimber 9's are about impossible to find right now. I found a used Ultra CDP but they wanted 900 for it and that's kinda steep for a used pistol that didn't even have the box or anything with it now.

I don't know how anyond could carry a dbl stack like that Jeff without it showing. Well, if you were going to have it in the small of your back. I can't reach around there hardly because of the neck issues that has affected the nerves in my arms

I have looked several times at that Slim Hawg BigOrangeOne..only on line though, heck, pistols are hard to find now in the concealed carry. How in the world guys carry a full sized 1911 like SpaceCowboy does, I'll never understand..but if you needed it? how sweet that would be to have!

I also LOVE this EMP Springfield. I have held it a couple times and it was so good feeling! Image but..I really want laser grips and they don't make laser grips for this model yet..and Crimson Carry says they have no plans to do so..at least not for the next six months

Have you ever seen a CZ 75 There real accurate. Not sure if I have seen one around here. I had one when I was in the Army stationed in Texas.

The CZ 75 is a semi-automatic pistol made by Česká zbrojovka Uherský Brod (CZUB) in the Czech Republic. First introduced in 1975, it is one of the original wonder nines featuring a staggered-column magazine, all-steel construction, and a hammer forged barrel. It has a good reputation amongst pistol shooters for quality and versatility at a reasonable price, and is widely distributed throughout the world.

My kimber is the ultra carryII with crimson trace. I have only ran 100 rounds through it but I must say that those 100 rounds ran flawlessly not 1 ftf. CHECK OUT GUNBROKER.COM some reasonable prices and just about anything you want is listed on there. If you buy just have a local gunshop or a friend with a FFL handy. I never looked at the kimber 9mm as I wanted the 45 but I might be looking at one of these in the future. I am currently attempting to begin reloading just started accumulating the many different components needed. Any help in this area would be appreciated.

Guy, it weighs 2.5 lbs! It's over 7" long and 1 and half inches thick. Heck, might as well just buy a rife ;-)

Yes there is a little more recoil than the 9mm however I was looking for the knock down power. For my next purchase more ccw specific I will go to a wheel gun. More reliable and easier to conceal. The reloading manuals are on thier way it will still be a long time before I am ready to start reloading and yes every gun is becoming expensive to buy ammo for. Midway does not always have the cheapest prices but I have received great service from them. The best advice I can give you is to keep looking until that special one comes along, don't settle on one, do the research and find the one that best soots your needs. Good Luck!!!

Well, I have picked up the Ruger LCR more than on one occasion. You can purchase it for under 600 bucks with laser grips! It only weighs 13 oz. with laser grips, 13.5 without. I have heard complaints about recoil by some as it's such a light weight pistol but it wouldn't be any much different than the S & W 642 we have. It weighs 15oz. It's more of a 'slap and a sting' than recoil though

If you are concerned about the recoil and the price of ammo, get you a .22 .
In a self defense situation I don't think I would be concerned with the recoil OR the price of a handfull of ammo.

Well, I'd want to shoot it as well and practice. One thing that I love about my little Walther P22 is there's actually recoil with it. Granted, nothing bad but enough to help you train.

That one you gave me to try out though..the only way you know it went off is you hear it..you sure don't feel it..it's so strange!
