Chillicothe Cavaliers 2011-2012

Post by bobsaget »

Well it's that time of the year again. Chillicothe returns two starters for this in Cleveland State commit MaLik London and junior Zach Johnson. Both will be entering their third year as starters. The rest of the lineup will be made up of a lot of youth players. I haven't seen Chillicothe's schedule yet, how does it look? What is everyone else input on this years team?

Go Cavs.

I like to see the scheduele also, to see how often they are in Franklin County this year.

Who will be the point guard this year? Tough one to replace! Who will be the outside threat?

Seems to me London and Johnson will be scraping for help.

Chillicothe should be just fine this year with Johnson and London with a nice supporting cast. They had a nice summer so would not be surprised at another league title and regional run again.

Is the Elliott boy eligible? If so, I'd say he'd be the pick. But I do agree, London and Zach Johnson will be the keys to this years team.

Elliott is eligible, but I believe this team has the potential to be very good and would not be surprised at another league title as well as another regional run.

I really like the Simmons kid, if he can improve his shot selection, he could help step into some of the scoring that was lost to graduation.

Is he eligible? I was told in the summer that he was working out with the football team until the athletic department discovered that he was a fifth year senior and not eligible to compete in OHSSA sponsered activities.

Chillicothe will be solid if they all stay coachable.

I talked to some people within the program the other day they said that the Simmons boy IS eligible. Look for the starting lineup to look something like this- Elliot, Z. Johnson, Simmons, Nolan Taylor (soph, hear he's up to 6'4) and then London in the middle. Then look for the Dunn boy and Isaiah Johnson (soph) for some people to come off the bench. I hear we're playing Dayton CJ at that tournament in Dayton along with Cincinnati Withrow I believe in a classic type deal at fifth third arena in cincy. Also, another non-league matchup with Gahanna Lincoln.

It's almost basketball season, go cavs!

Here is a link to Cavs schedule. Looks to be a tough one, even by Chillicothe's recent standards. Would certainly wager money that it's the toughest schedule in SEO.
