Really? Fed Hock is open. The guy seemed like he was interested in staying there a while.

i love fed hock...this decision was made only because its too tough to drive over 115 miles each night after work .
the job was offered to me again and it was a tough decision to make. i love the kids and all involved with the school. everyone was great to me.
good luck to the new coach and all the players
i wish them all the luck in the world.

Being from Athens I'm interested in the knowing if there are candidates for the Athens job. Will Coach Skinner come back to take the job? I'm not sure if an outsider will want it since we seem to change coaches every two years.

I can not believe that Coach Derrow would come back or even want to come back. Who in the hell wants that job?

I think that if Derrow wants to come back, I think it would be selfish on his part. I say that because I thought that I read that if Derrow is rehired he was to lose his summer contact days. That would put the kids even further behind if they would have to wait until October to be competitive.

He can't have summer contact days but the guy that coached them can. I heard Derrow was at all the Wellston games home and away this past year. Look for him back in charge when season roles around.

If that's true, then that's sad. A great coaching legend has moved on. He was doing good things in Titan land. Hate to see him go.

Wellston does'nt care about basketball they still think there a football town I do think the entire town is scared to death to do the right thing and stand up for your kids. Wellston people your kids deserve better stand up or shut up.

The people of Wellston have voiced their opinion. They want Coach Derrow. They understand that he is their coach. All the people who have spoken up on here are from Vinton County. They are the the ones that have a real problem with him. Most people in Wellston support him. he is currently coaching baseball and they are having a very good year and the kids play extremely hard for him. These are basically the same kids he has in basketball.
