Doesn't this league have an assigner? Maybe they could tell you where these officials were from since they would be the one that hired them? If that's a big deal

You are the one reading things that aren't being said. I did not say most, I said some.

I wasn't trying to read anything that was not there. He said music and the only music I heard most of the time was the band.

I have never said that the officials were good and I have never said that the gym wasn't outdated. The officials were not good and our gym is outdated, but that is what we were dealt and that is what we have to play in until the new school is complete. You need to accept the fact that your players did not react well to adversity, thus the technicals. If your fans said something, you need to accept the fact that they needed to go. Your team lost and the Tigers were the better team Friday night......the season is not over for either one of them. Now, I have said what you wanted to hear...........Let it go!

Please do not post anything further pertaining to the game on Friday.

The Tigers will travel to Green next Friday. We need to focus on that game! St.Joe plays host to the East Tartans on Tuesday and Coal Grove on Friday.

great one,
Yes, the SOC has an assigner!! The problem with that is many crews won't go there, due to facility, lack of support from security, fan behavior, etc... If you look up the last few years there is always some controversy between fans, security and officials.

I figured it was just a matter of time before rico showed up on this thread to bash me. When it took this long I really thought he had moved on but I guess not.

I still maintain that one of the biggest issues there is the restraining line. I cannot understand why an official would not make sure he understands how to call it before the game. It seemed in the JV game that one official knew how to call the restraining line while the other did not. When teams visit there, it seems that the coaches will spend time trying to explain to his players how to play the restaining line. Then things just become frustrating when it is called inconsistently.

I see this as being no different than ground rules at different baseball fields. Each field has unique qualities and rules set up to cover those situations.

I don't know why you guys still feel the need to complain about our small gym and the officials...lets talk about st joes coach for a minute.. I can only recall one time that the coach didn't cry to the ref about a guy..it was pathetic..and so what if we kept our starters in most of the game..im pretty sure just because st joes teams just couldn't keep up and the refs called how they seen it..and it was a very good game..tigers out on top..excited for the season

Balanced scoring and good bench play helped the Eastern Eagles move to 2-0 in conference action Friday night.

The Eagles had starters in some early foul trouble, but that didn't stop them from picking up a 65-54 win over the previously unbeaten New Boston Tigers.

Eastern built a 15-13 edge by the end of the first quarter and stretched it to double digits by the half despite having post players Billy Lykins and Tavares Pickett in foul trouble. That was when Adam Pearl gave his team a lift. With Lykins and Pickett sitting much of the second and third quarters, Pearl provided 10 points, three assists and three steals.

"Adam Pearl really stepped up for us, as did Blake Roberts," said Eastern coach P.J. Fitch. "They were keying on Chad Lands and limited him to nine points, but he had a good floor game with six assists and six rebounds."

Roberts finished his night with 11 points. According to Fitch, Lykins played about two-and-a-half quarters in total, but finished with a double-double of 13 points and 12 rebounds. Aaron Satterfield was the other Eagle to reach double figures with 12 points.

"New Boston was undefeated coming into the game and we're pleased to put their first loss on them," said Fitch. "Our bench really stepped up tonight."

Eastern is now 2-2 overall and 2-0 in Southern Ohio Conference Division I play.
